Turn Partial Differential Equations Into FE Models

Nov. 3, 2005
FlexPDE 5 is a script-driven program for solving partial differential equations involving heat flow, electric and magnetic fields, and stress analysis.

Gear tooth-temperature calculation done in FlexPDE 5.

Users enter equations, boundary conditions, domain description, and the graphics output required in a readable, selfdocumenting script, which they have created in the software's editor. FlexPDE builds a mesh, constructs a system finite-element model, solves it, and presents graphical output. The software also includes Arbitrary Lagrange/Eulerian (ALE) moving-mesh capabilities.
