PCI Motion Controller

Dec. 8, 2005
Featuring a servoloop rate of 50 sec/axis, the Magellan-PCI motion controller supports both brush and brushless dc motors, microstepping, and pulse and direction motors.

The board provides 5 Mcounts/sec quadrature encoder input rate and pulse and direction output of up to 5 Mpulses/sec. Other features include trajectory generation, servoloop closure, motoroutput signal generation, servotrace, onthefly changes, and commutation.

Communication occurs via PCI bus, serial port, or CANbus. PLC-style external input/output breakpoints can create application-specific profile changes. Performance Motion Devices Inc., 55 Old Bedford Rd., Lincoln, MA 01773, (781) 674-9860, magellan-pci.com
