CAD Includes Data Management, Surfacing, and More

May 19, 2005
Designer Modeling 2005 includes a range of products for rapid 3D modeling, 2D drafting and analysis, and flexible, team-focused data management.

Design Modeling 2005 includes teamfocused collaboration that lets teams visually examine design ideas.

The developer's dynamic modeling technology eliminates the sequenced steps that constrain designs. Also, data management immediately communicates design changes across development teams, so designers always work on a correct version. A surfacing module has advances in surfacing and ergonomic shaping that are accessed without leaving the 3D design system. Other enhancements include predictive skinning from loosely defined surface boundaries, advanced surfacing techniques, and streamlined surfacing setup and modification.
