FEA simulates more conditions

Feb. 17, 2005
The Abaqus V6.5 software suite sports several improvements in usability, finite-element modeling, visualization, and simulation technology.

The Model Tree in Abaqus/CAE is a visual description of objects in a finite-element model that analysts can navigate to manage models more efficiently. The software now accesses results files across a network, eliminating having to move the files to local machines for evaluation. V6.5 of Abaqus/Standard and Explicit provide expanded capabilities in the areas of crashworthiness,-fracture and failure modeling, cohesive elements, impact simulation, and fluid-structure interaction.
