Parking/Secondary Brakes

Aug. 24, 2006
Model RT 7000 mechanically actuated, sliding caliper brakes are made from high-strength ductile iron and sealed for harsh environments.

These brakes come with quickchange nonasbestos organic or sintered metallic linings. The company claims they fade less than drum brakes, especially in emergencies.

RT brakes meet the park and emergency stopping requirements of military, construction, underground mining, agricultural, and on/off highway vehicles. The lever-actuated brakes use a ball ramp assembly to advance the brake pads toward the disc. The disc thickness range is 0.38 to 0.44 in., with a disc diameter range of 10 to 25 in.
