The dual-axis inclinometer sensor, for applications requiring level platforms or control of tilt angles

The dual-axis inclinometer sensor, for applications requiring level platforms or control of tilt angles and dancers, measures angular tilt in reference to gravity. The sensors compact rectangular housing allows for mounting at ±10, ±45, ±60, and ±85°. A microelectrical- mechanical capacitive element in the sensor uses two parallelplate electrodes, one stationary and one attached to a spring-mass system. Movement causes acceleration, which produces deflection in the nonstationary electrode. The result is a measurable change in the capacitance between the two plates proportional to the angle of deflection. The signals provide two analog outputs (0.1 to 4.9 Vdc) or two current outputs (4 to 20 mA).

The IP67-rated inclinometer operates at –30 to 70°C making it suitable for use in machine engineering, commercial machines, vertical and horizontal drills, offshore plants, furniture, and conveyors.
