New Products: Medical ac-dc Power Supply

July 31, 2009
The single-output CSS65 Series of ac-dc 40 to 65-W medical power supplies accept a wide input voltage range.

The single-output CSS65 Series of ac-dc 40 to 65-W medical power supplies accept a wide input voltage range. The open-frame supplies feature a universal 90 to 264-Vac, 47 to 63-Hz input, for use anywhere in the world, plus can operate from a 120 to 300-Vdc input. The supplies feature a leakage current of less than 250 μA at 264 Vac, 63 Hz, which is important for medical applications. The CSS65 is designed to withstand 4-kVac, input-to-output. Available output voltages include 5, 12, 15, 19, 24, 36, or 48 V, and can operate with convection cooling (no fans required). The outputs are floating so they can be used as either a positive or negative polarity. Features include remote sense connections that compensate for cable drops between the output terminals and the load; overvoltage and short-circuit protection, and input and output connections that mate with standard Molex connectors.
