A new pneumatic hand air tool speeds installation of nylon hose clamps. Designed to operate on standard shop air when its lever is depressed, the tool features adjustable jaws to accommodate a wide range of hose clamps. Activation is through an integrated hand lever that reduces hand stress and the risk of carpal-tunnel syndrome. The tool allows faster installation over hose clamps installed using manual tools.
The air tool can be used on the company’s nylon Lockit hose clamps, which have a double row of teeth for a secure grip and a retainer clip for prepositionining, as well as on 0.250 to 2.375-in., 6/6 or glass-filled nylon hose clamps.
