The permanent-magnet clutches and brakes are constructed of all-stainless steel, require no electricity to run, and have 400 Series stainless-steel bearings. The corrosion-resistant clutches and brakes are suitable for harsh, wash-down environments.

Because the unit’s torque is independent of slip speed, it gives smooth torque from 1 to 1,800 rpm, providing constant torque for tension or torque-limiting applications. The clutches and brakes have no friction surfaces to break down or wear out.
