Compressor/vacuum pumps designed for use in extreme environments.
Compressor/vacuum pumps are designed for use in extreme environments where zero leakage, zero contamination, high reliability, and long life are required through the use of nonwearing wetted surfaces fabricated from corrosion-resistant stainless steels and valve-assembly gaskets made from Teflon or Viton.A wide variety of standard compressor/vacuum pumps range from the single head MB-21 with a 0.2-scfm free flow and 10-psig discharge pressure to the dual head MB-602 with a 6.0-scfm free flow and 40-psig discharge pressure. Features of the maintenance-free compressor/vacuum pumps include 10,000 hr continuous operation; permanently lubricated bearings in the motor and driver assembly; and welded bellows for positive containment and contamination-free sampling.Custom-designed compressor/vacuum pumps can be ordered with features such as VCR inlet/outlet ports, three-phase, explosionproof, dc, variable-speed, 400-Hz aircraft, and radiation-resistant motors. Also available are double-containment models that use a second bellows and welded housing as a redundant leaktight seal to the primary pumping bellows.Senior Aerospace Metal Bellows, 1075 Providence Highway, Sharon, MA 02067, (888) 235-5697, www.metalbellows.com
