Isight 4.5 provides a mechanism to link design and simulation models, which can come from various CAD, CAE, and other software applications, to automate the execution of hundreds or even thousands of simulations. It helps designers improve designs by optimizing against performance or cost variables through statistical methods such as Design of Experiments or Design for Six Sigma. The software includes new scalable parallel algorithms for multicore computing and data-mining capabilities that provide deeper insight into performance-attribute trade-offs. Users of Abaqus Unified FEA will benefit from a new licensing policy that reduces the cost for using the FEA in automated design studies with Isight. A combination of these products reduces users’ Abaqus token usage as much as 60%. Simulia, Rising Sun Mills, 166 Valley St., Providence, RI 02909, (401) 276-4400, www.simulia.com
