The APT Series pan and tilt systems are designed for demanding positioning requirements in the security, defense, and surveillance industries.

The system’s drive mechanism includes a gear preloading feature that self-adjusts for the effects of wear and temperature variation, resulting in no degradation in positioning performance. A built-in Ensemble controller responds to motion commands via an Ethernet connection, or it can be programmed to operate in a stand-alone configuration.

System specifications include continuous 360° pan with a maximum speed of 180°/sec; ±95° tilt range with a maximum speed of 180°/sec, 7.6-arc-sec position resolution, and 120-arc-sec position accuracy. With a 35-kg payload, a variety of different cameras can be mounted. An integrated slip-ring carries camera connections to the base of the unit.
