FDA-accepted grades of Graphalloy bearings are available for food-processing and commercial-baking applications

FDA-accepted grades of Graphalloy bearings are available for food-processing and commercial-baking applications. Graphalloy, a graphite/metal alloy, is a uniform, solid, self-lubricating bushing and bearing material.

The self-lubricating bearings and bushings perform in –450 to 750°F and require minimal maintenance. With a low coefficient of friction and high strength, the bearings are not subject to seizures, binding, or sudden failure. They contain no oil or grease, can be immersed in liquids without causing contamination of equipment or packaging, and withstand steam cleaning and pressure washing operations without loss of lubrication or bearing performance.
