The Bearing Specialists Association (BSA) has announced that its 2008 Fall Meeting will be September 22-23 at the Hilton Suites Chicago Magnificent Mile, Chicago, Illinois. Please note that this reflects a change from the previously announced dates of September 29-30. The location remains the same.

In addition to the regular schedule of BSA committee meetings, BSA’s Information Technology and Supply Chain Committee (formerly the Information Technology and Logistics Committee) will host a presentation from a representative of Google on the company's suite of applications. Then there will be a "User Experience" presentation from Applied Industrial Technologies regarding that company's experience with the Google products.

Traditionally the BSA Fall and Winter Meetings offer the association’s committees the opportunity to pursue their agendas without the distractions of broader programming at the BSA Annual Convention. Attendees at these events traditionally give high marks for meeting and exceeding their expectations. Participants say the compact schedule in a smaller, more intimate format than the association’s Annual Convention offers an outstanding opportunity to network with industry peers in a casual, more intimate setting and, they add, to help influence the direction the industry takes over the coming years.

BSA is the “must belong to organization for authorized bearing distributors.” An international service and educational organization of distributors representing a total of almost 100 companies distributing factory-warranted ball-, roller-, and anti-friction bearings and invited manufacturers of bearings and related products, the association’s mission says, “BSA is the forum to enhance networking and knowledge sharing and promote the sale of bearings through authorized distributors.”
