Miniature linear encoders

SR-P40, SR-P200, and SR-P1000 ultra-small encoders use light reflection-diffraction technology to make alignment and adjustment easier than permeable types.

Features & benefits

  • Resolution of 2 µm with maximum speed of 4 m/sec (P40); 1 to 4 µm with maximum speed of 4 m/sec (P200); and 0.32 to 0.08 µm with maximum speed of 1.5 m/sec (P1000)

  • Quartz glass with length of 15 to 1,000 mm or film linear scales with length of 15 to 200 mm

  • Grating pitch of 80 µm

Easily-mountable linear encoders

LIDA 200 encoders control low-end linear operations in an exposed package.

Features & benefits

  • Same graduations, accuracy, and reliability of 400 series

  • Grating period of 200 µm for analog systems (for digital systems, signal periods of 5, 1, and 0.5 µm) available

  • Higher speeds (10 m/sec) than LIDA 400; offers higher contamination resistance

  • Mount by scale tape that comes in rolls with reference marks

Position transducer

Series M general-capability position transducer gives long displacement range, multiple mounting options, and size efficiency.

Features & benefits

  • Maximum range of 85 in.

  • Choice of analog (voltage divider or rheostat) or digital (quadrature) sensors

  • Reduced displacement cable fleet angle increases repeatability and reduces cable overlap

  • RoundAbout cable exit for 360° × 360° orientation eliminates need for transducer relocation or pulleys in a 3D environment

Industrial Ethernet sensor

R-series EtherCat sensor provides high-speed position feedback and data transfer for industrial Ethernet.

Features & benefits

  • Resolution to 1 µm, speeds to 0.2 mm/sec, and update time of 1 µsec (independent of stroke)

  • Synchronizes clock signals for high-speed deterministic control

  • Use with one to five position magnets; customize to document position, velocity, acceleration, and smart functionality

  • LEDs indicate normal operation, programming mode, magnet not detected, missing external interface signals, and insufficient or out-of-range input power
