Emerson Control Techniques, St. Louis, acquired Saftronics Inc., Fort Myers, Fla., a manufacturer of drives and drive systems for industrial applications. Saftronics, which serves a variety of industries such as water, HVAC, and mining, has assembly locations throughout North America. It becomes a unit of Emerson Industrial Automation, which focuses on mechanical, electrical, and ultrasonic technologies.
