After a 10-month search, Omron Electronics LLC, Schaumburg, Ill., has appointed Gregg A. Holst chief operating officer and president. Holst will direct the marketing, sales, and service operations in the United States, Latin America, and Canada. Omron's range of industrial automation products includes electronic controls, components, and systems.

He comes to Omron from Revere Electric Supply Co., Chicago, where he was executive vice president since 1993. There, he was instrumental in dramatically improving both the sales and the service performance of the company.

Holst is a graduate of Bradley University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering Technology.
