Six new members joined the Power Transmission Distributors Association (PTDA), Chicago, during the third quarter of 2007. Three companies joined the association

Six new members joined the Power Transmission Distributors Association (PTDA), Chicago, during the third quarter of 2007.

Three companies joined the association as distributor members:

  • Global Bear Inc., Dorval, PQ, Canada, a distributor of precision bearings and power transmission products.

  • State Electric Supply Co., Huntington, W. Va., an electrical distributor with 33 branches in five states.

  • Transmotion LLC, Green Bay, Wis., a subsidiary of the Value Added family of companies that carries mechanical power transmission products, bearings, motors, and material handling products.

The association also welcomed three new manufacturer members:

  • Emerson - Control Technologies, Eden Prairie, Minn., a manufacturer of electronic drive and drive support products with 14 locations across the Americas.

  • Sedis Industrial Chains, Troyes Cedex, France, a chain manufacturer in France with factories in France, Great Britain, and Germany.

  • Whittet-Higgins Co., Providence, a manufacturer of precision retaining devices for bearing, power transmission, machinery, and equipment assemblies.
