The PTDA 2008 Industry Summit, to be held Oct. 30 to Nov. 1 in Miami Beach, Fla., will offer educational programming, business development and networking opportunities, and — new this year — a motion control technical conference and showcase. Most conference sessions will offer simultaneous translation into Spanish. The Summit will address the industry's top challenges, according to PTDA, and will include sessions on economic forecasts, discovering new markets in Latin America, and how Harley-Davidson Motor Co. differentiated itself from its competition. The motion control technical conference will feature workshops and presentations by motion control manufacturers and organizations, with sessions on trends in motion and automation and the state of linear motion. The accompanying motion control showcase will highlight new products from more than 20 of the industry's biggest suppliers. For more information, visit www.ptda.org.
