Diagnostics via the Web

July 23, 2009
The System Diagnostics Manager lets users profit from simple and fast access to diagnostic data during machine commissioning, field tests, and in normal operation.

The new System Diagnostics Manager lets engineers and technicians check machine operations and sort out problems from any location with a web browser (Intranet or Internet) and a TCP/IP connection. The new tool is based on B&R’s real-time operating system, and it eliminates the need for user-specific diagnostic tools for analyzing a control system’s configuration or runtime settings. Automation Studio software is not necessary.

In addition, it can quickly check software modules as well as hardware settings on the target system. Recording all sequential tasks provides detailed information about the active machine process, and the system logbook tracks performance during startup and operation.

The System Diagnostics Manager lets users profit from simple and fast access to diagnostic data during machine commissioning, field tests, and in normal operation. And fast access from any location can save considerable time and money.
