Clear cyrogenic epoxy - Master Bond Inc.

April 16, 2011
The epoxy works as an adhesive, encapsulant, or potting compound.

EP37-3FLF optically clear, two-component epoxy resists temperatures from 4K to 250°F and thermal cycling on metals, glass, ceramics, rubbers, and many plastics. It cures in 2 to 3 days at room temperature, or faster at elevated temperatures, with a low exotherm. It has bond-shear strength over 2,000 psi, T-peel strength of 25 pli, and elongation of 180%. Its volume resistivity is 1x1014 ohm-cm.
The epoxy mixes in a 1:1 ratio by weight or volume, has a mixed viscosity of 1,400 to 1,500 cps, and has a room-temperature work life of up to 90 min for 100 gm. It comes in pint, quart, gallon and 5-gal container kits and has a 6-month unopened, room-temperature shelf life.
