Fiber-Optic Amplifiers

Sept. 16, 2004
The SU16 Series fiber-optic amplifiers are DINrail mountable and sit in a slim 10-mm-profile package.
They are available in highpower/high-sensitivity models, or ultrafast models with up to 8-kHz switching frequency. Users can fine-tune sensitivity of the units by using a multiturn potentiometer with an easy view indicator. The SU16 also features self-diagnostic LEDs and weak signal outputs, as well as mutual interference protection for enhanced detection stability and reliability. Scanning ranges are up to 6 m, response times are as fast as 50 m sec, and timer functions are built-in. Fiber attaches with a snap-action lever, and no tools are required. A wide range of glass and plastic fibers are available to meet specific application needs.
