Bearings Products: Polymer Slewing Rings

July 10, 2008
PRT slewing rings replace ball bearings with two sliding elements made of self-lubricating iglide J polymer.

The rings are housed in aluminum and secured with stainless-steel screws. The polymer material is said to be wear and chemical resistant and damp vibrations well. The slewing rings have a high-load capacity, a low coefficient of friction, and little tendency to absorb moisture. Maintenance input is low due to the elimination of solid lubricant.

PRT slewing rings are available with ODs of 30, 60, 100, and 200 mm.
