The Electrak E050 is a small, light, linear actuator with a short retracted length, making it well suited for applications where space is a premium. It also operates quietly enough to be used in medical and office machines, says its maker, Warner Linear, Marengo, Ill. Available in 12 and 24-V versions for battery operation, as well as with an optional 120-Vac control with one or two output channels and a handset to manually control each output. Limit switches and an overload clutch give the actuator end-of-stroke and mid-stroke protection. The motor and gear drives are encased in a durable plastic housing rated for outdoor use. Colors are molded into the housing, making scratches less apparent.
