Compact motion controller

Nov. 9, 2006
These motion controllers are four-quadrant PWMs that can be operated via RS232 and CAN interfaces.

Inputs and outputs can be configured via the interface. The CAN interface allows for networked control of up to 27 drives. The controllers give a continuous output of up to 6 A and have resolutions up to 1/3000 of a revolution. The MCDC 3006 is used for dc motors, while the MCBL 3006 is for brushless dc motors. A printed-circuit board version is available for superordinate systems for OEM applications. The electronics are based on a digital signal processor (DSP).
