The RST Series indexing table is pneumatically driven and comes in two sizes: the RST 18 and RST 24. Key differences are the footprint (70 × 70 mm/100 × 100 mm), torque (1.2 Nm/4 Nm), and in the maximum axial force on the cycle ring (1,950 N/3,400 N).The tables can cycle either to the left, right, or alternate, without any modifications. Switching is by pneumatic actuation, and the cycle types can be changed in any order and any number of times. The RST Series lets the working process stop, return a few steps, and repeat the processing step in question if errors occur.Angle adjustment can be set to 4, 6, 8, or 12 steps. Hydraulic shock absorbers act as end-position dampers in both directions. Repeat accuracy of the angle of rotation is less than 0.03°, the axial and radial run-out of the cycle ring is better than 0.02 mm.The table’s special feature is an unusually large fixed-central section, which makes it easier to add additional components and assemblies, and features a large feed-through bore.Schunk Inc., 211 Kitty Hawk Dr., Morrisville, NC 27560, (800) 772-4865, www.schunk.com
