Compensating-Compliance Unit

The AGE-S guarantees compensation beyond the positioning accuracy of robots handling medium to heavy loads.
Aug. 24, 2006

Combining three compensation directions X, Y, and Z minimizes the size and weight of the unit. It resists bending moments and complies with workpiece positions, minimizing assembly and unloading forces, thus protecting the robot and assembly line. Standard compensation ranges are ±12 mm (X and Y direction) and ±14 mm (Z direction). The unit may be rigidly fixed with an integrated pneumatic-locking device during a handling operation. Sturdy guides allow payloads from 12 to 220 lb.
