Compression Latches

April 27, 2006
A new mounting bracket for Vise Action Series compression latches lets designers create a cleaner, more streamlined look, while providing security and protection for the recessed latch.

The kit expands the latches' mounting possibilities for applications where a consistent 0.25 in. of pull-up compression minimizes vibration and noise or compress gaskets for environmental and EMI/RFI sealing. The brackets accommodate the tool-actuated larger-size Vise Action latch. A rubber O-ring seals the opening around the latch-actuator head to keep dust and moisture out. Available bracket depths include a 0.25-in. head style and the 0.35-in. Railway Standard and Bellcore head styles. The brackets come in galvanized or stainless steel and mount with two M5 studs or bolts.
