The Hobie Wave from Hobie Cat Co.

The Hobie Wave from Hobie Cat Co., Oceanside, Calif., features a rotationally molded hull from American Rotational Molding Group Inc.

New Jersey. . . . East coast-based rotational molder Meese Orbitron Dunne (MOD) Co. has purchased American Rotational Molding Group Inc., (ARM), Anaheim, Calif., in an all-cash transaction that will increase MOD's west-coast capacity by 500%. The acquisition will also improve shipping efficiencies nationally and combine expertise in the design and production of large (up to 16 ft long) and small (only a few ounces in weight) rotationally molded parts.

MOD Custom Molding Service Division's forte is the design, engineering, and manufacture of high-strength fuel tanks, container, toys, and recreational equipment. ARM, a perennial Association of Rotational Molders award-winner, also brings to the table a proprietary line of pedestals, columns, urns, and accessories with a reported commanding share of the rental, floral, and banquet markets.
