Elastomers For Gaskets And Seals

Dec. 9, 2004
Plasticizer-free Baytec, a family of soft polyurethane elastomers, have low Durometer, sport high tear strengths and elongation properties, and are 20% lighter than silicone rubber.

They are resilient, hydrolytically stable, and resist abrasions. The elastomers also process easily with low mixing ratios and viscosities and adjustable pot lives. Baytec can be used in moldmaking, roller coverings, gaskets, seals, and diaphragms.
