FEA Compares Simulation Result To Testing

Nov. 18, 2004
FEA-software Cosmos now lets users compare 3D testing and analysis results side by side to pinpoint trouble spots and correct them before production.

Developed in collaboration with National Instruments, the "compare test data" feature lets engineers export analysis data from the FEA software to test applications based on National Instruments (NI) LabView graphical development software. Test applications focus on the functional performance and durability of 3D solid model designs during prototyping and production. Combining analysis and testing lets engineers choose which areas of a design to test so they do not have to test all the data in a solid model, which is time consuming and expensive. The FEA also works with NI's mathematical and visual data analysis program, which also helps compare analysis to test results.
