Ferrous Powder Metal

Ancorsteel 4300 is a ferrous powder-metal alloy that simulates wrought compositions.
March 3, 2005

It produces high-strength parts with good fatigue resistance and toughness after a single-press, single-sinter operation and needs no secondary processing treatments. The powder compresses well and has good dimensional stability with respect to graphite content, compaction pressure, and sintering conditions. Additionally, low-sintered oxygen levels (500 ppm) are possible at processing temperatures of 2,050°F, and graphite levels can be tailored for specific applications.
