Good Vibrations

The Spindler ICP vibration sensor from the Industrial Monitoring Instrumentation Div.
Sept. 7, 2000

The Spindler ICP vibration sensor from the Industrial Monitoring Instrumentation Div. of PCB Piezotronics Inc., Depew, N.Y., features a small size and swivel mounting for out-of-the-way installations. Durable, stainless-steel housing with sealed, armored cables withstands the rigors of cutting fluids and flying metal chips. Integrated electronic filtering prevents saturation problems, yet still responds to high-frequency vibrations associated with spindle bearings. The sensor is recommended for predictive maintenance and condition monitoring, as well as wear detection for maintaining machined-part quality.
