Inductive motor encoder

Dec. 8, 2005
The ME Series uses inductive sensor technology in a high-speed, high-precision rotary position encoder.

Targeted for motor-winding commutation and motion control, the 22-mm-diameter unit provides 17-bit resolution at speeds up to 20,000 rpm.

Available in both absolute and incremental versions, larger diameter encoders offer higher resolutions. Rotors are produced from a thin, lightweight material for low angular moments of inertia and rapid acceleration. Each encoder is rated from 40 to 125°C and can be sealed to IP68 rating. A linear version is due for release in early 2006. Zettlex Ltd., 1010 Cambourne Business Park, Cambourne, Cambridge, UK, (+44) 07917 421582, zettlex.com
