Laser Beam Shaper

Aug. 24, 2006
Flat-Top generators are laserbeamshaping modules that convert Gaussian beams into a focused flat-top profiles.

Possible outputs include rectangular or square-shaped patterns. They are compatible with lasers that emit at UV, visible, and near-IR wavelengths. The modules integrate with Lasiris lasers, as well as with other laser types, both standard and fiber coupled.

Applications include those requiring uniform illumination and maximum laser throughput, such as flow cytometry, biodetection, night vision, and character recognition. Efficiency is nearly 100%; uniformity goes down to ±20%; and dimension of beam ranges from 150 µm2 up to several centimeters2.
