Molded in Polypropylene, the FS-380P inline flow sensor is a plastic version of a flowsensor design previously available only in brass and stainless. Targeting noncritical cooling in semiconductor and laser applications, it is made by the Gems Sensors Inc. operation of Danaher, Plainville, Conn. Pilot or general-purpose models are available with a reed-switching element listed at 10, 20, or 50 VA. Operating pressures extend to 200 psi at 70°F and 100 psi at 212°. Fixed setpoints range from 0.25 to 2.0 gpm and accuracy is within 20% of the setpoint. Pistons are PPS composite and other wetted parts include 316 stainless and fluorocarbon O-rings. A wide variety of port connection styles are available, including quick disconnect.
