Lockout Relays

Types WL-2 and WL lockout relays (LOR) automatically trip and lock out circuit breakers and other devices to protect against damaging electrical faults.
April 26, 2007

The manual-reset devices come with or without handle-trip capacity.

WL-2 LORs are used where simultaneous operation of many contacts is necessary. The devices feature a low-current magnetic-trip mechanism, come in operating voltages ranging from 24 to 250 Vdc or 120 to 480 Vac. Each device's trip coil is factory-wired to a coil-cutoff contact that is closed when the rotor is in the reset position.

The WL LOR is available with up to 10 stages, where each stage constitutes one circuit (one double-series-break contact) made up of two stationary contact fingers and one moving contact segment. The devices are insulated for 600-V service and have a 20-A continuous current-carrying capacity. Trip coils for both ac and dc control voltages are available.
