LVDT Sensor

Nov. 3, 2005
The HLR 750 Series of LVDTs are designed for operation in gas or steam turbines and hazardous environments.

The hermetically sealed devices offer contactless position measurement for applications such as vane-pitch servocontrols, fuel-valve position feedback, governor controls, shaft end play and runout, and generator shell-expansion measurement. Features of the sensor include full-scale measurement range of ±1 to ±10 in.; high resolution; repeatability better than 0.01% of full scale; nonlinearity of less than 0.25% of full range output; and through-bore design for accessibility from both ends as well as to facilitate bore cleaning. Lead wires exit through a radially mounted NPT male rigid conduit fitting for easy attachment to an explosionproof junction box. Temperature range of the stainless-steel LVDTs is 65 to 300°F.
