Material Products: Aluminum Hinges

Sept. 11, 2008
The AL Series aluminum hinges are made of 3003 Series commercial strength alloy.

The softer metal is less expensive than 5250 alloy and more easily machined. The hinges come in 0.040, 0.050, and 0.060-in. leaf thicknesses with 0.50-in. knuckles and various widths.

Aluminum hinges made from 5052 alloy AA Series are available for higher-strength applications. Hinges meeting common military specifications can also be supplied.
