Mini Motors Don't Cog

Oct. 7, 2004
LEU-Series ironless core, brushless linear motors generate 26 lb of peak force and are just 18-mm wide.

Coil heights of 15 and 30 mm are available with six different coil sizes. Ironless winding laminations eliminate cogging. Small coils and magnettrack footprints make units adaptable for moving coil or magnet stages to reduce cable loading and wear. Applications include high-precision and compact stages such as miniature parts handling systems and precision pick-and-place machines.
