Network Media Converters

Sept. 14, 2006
TCC-80 serial port powered media converters operate without additional power input but come with a Vdc power adapter and a USB port power cord for use when needed.

These converters provide complete signal conversion between RS-232 and RS-422/485 signals, and protection against current overload with a built-in 15-kV ESD surge protector. This line features RS-485 autodata direction control in which the RS-485 driver automatically enables when the circuitry senses the TxD output from the RS-232 signal. No programming is needed to control the transmission direction of the RS-485 signal.
