New Product: Motor feedback system

Nov. 8, 2007
The VFS 60 Motor Feedback System consists of hollow shaft encoders that mount to asynchronous motors and deliver from 1 to 10,000 ppr in a 60-mm housing.

The units feature a nickel code disc that provides robust operation and tolerance to temperatures as high as 100ºC. Ball bearings spaced 30-mm apart support the encoder shaft for concentricity of ±0.3/±0.1-mm radial and ±0.5/±0.2-mm axial. Hollow shaft clamping is said to electrically isolate the encoder from the motor shaft for boosted immunity to electrical interference and minimizes runout problems with collets. The VFS 60 encoders are IP65 rated and come with TTL or HTL interfaces.
