New Product: Polyamide 46 Takes the Heat

Feb. 7, 2008
Stanyl Diablo OCD2100, a polyamide 46 (PA46), withstands temperatures above 230°C for 3,000 hr.

It has low creep and is a candidate for under-the-hood (UTB) equipment. The material can replace metal and reportedly outperforms other resins (PPS, PPA, and PEI) on weldability, weld strength, and the weld’s long-term heat stability.
