New Products: Color Masterbatches with Flame Retardance

Nov. 22, 2008
Renol color masterbatches meet stringent flame-retardance requirements when added to polycarbonate/ABS blends used in consumer electronics.

Renol color masterbatches meet stringent flame-retardance requirements when added to polycarbonate/ABS blends used in consumer electronics. PC/ABS provides the high heat resistance and structural toughness needed for LCDCD and plasma televisions. The color masterbatches give an all-color registration for UL 94 V-0 at 1.5 mm with no appreciable effect on mechanical properties such as impact strength or on processing characteristics of the PC/ABS blend. The masterbatches also won’t cause cosmetic defects around the bosses and ribs usually built into large components.
