Product Spotlight: Worm-Gear Speed Reducer

March 6, 2008
The housing, motor flange, and carrier of the 700 Series worm-gear speed reducer are constructed of 315-stainless steel to provide maximum corrosion resistance for caustic washdown environments.

The input worm and shaft are made from highstrength case-hardened alloy steel. To prevent particle accumulation and fluid from pooling on or under the unit, the reducer has a rounded housing design, plastic hardware covers, and two-piece mounting base. A large internal oil reservoir is filled with H1 foodgrade lubricant (Klubersynth UH 1 6-460) and sealed for life.
