Shaft-Grounding Ring

Sept. 27, 2007
The Aegis iPro shaft-grounding ring is specially designed for use in highcurrent applications such as generators, turbines, and medium-voltage motors over 1,000 hp controlled by variable-frequency drives.

It channels harmful shaft currents away from bearings to ground. To facilitate field retrofits on coupled equipment, the maintenance-free split-ring iPro comes in mating halves. The iPro safely diverts up to 120 A of continuous shaft current. The devices work even if oil, dirt, or grease contaminate the shaft.
