Software Simulates Motorcycle Dynamics

May 24, 2007
BikeSim software simulates the dynamic behavior of motorcycles and scooters.

It can be used by those not knowing older simulation methods. Rider inputs include brake, shift, throttle, and steering torque. Environmental inputs include friction, aerodynamics, road geometry. The software includes over 80 data screens so users can easily set up roads, bike properties, and control inputs and quickly see animations and results. Tables hold parameters and bike properties measurable by tests or available from design software. Computational speed is about 10% of real time on a 3-GHz PC.
