Touch Sensor ICs

Feb. 23, 2006
QTouch sensor ICs are for touch controls.

Features include lifetime autocalibration, drift compensation, and recalibration timeouts and a variety of response times, output polarities, and toggle modes. Low-consumption QT110s create touch-sense fields through dielectric surfaces such as plastic and glass up to 100-mm thick and work easily through gloved hands. QT113 and QT118H are also for material, liquid, or moisture sensing and require only an external sampling capacitor and electrode to operate. On/off buttons, security detection, and lighting and appliance controls are typical uses.
