USB load sensors

Sept. 13, 2007
The iLoad Digital USB Sensor is a capacitive load sensor with USB output.

Designed to plug directly into the USB port of a PC, they let users measure loads, forces, or weights without the need for any additional signal conditioning. The sensors currently come in capacities of 10, 50, 100, 250, and 500 lb for both compressive and tensile loads and offer accuracies from 0.25% to 0.025% of full-scale load. Higher capacities up to 15,000 lb are expected for release in the coming months. Temperature compensation handles working temps from –10 to 40°C. Flexible output options provide for either USB digital or 0-to-5-Vdc analog. The low-profile, stainless-steel package handles pH levels from 4 to 17 and mounts with threaded holes or studs.
