Vision Sensors Match Patterns

Sept. 2, 2004
New industrial-grade In-Sight 5100, 5400, and 3400 vision sensors can work with PatMax geometricpattern-matching software.

PatMax provides accurate feature location despite changes in image angle, size, rotation, and appearance. The software handles variations in part appearance caused by process variations, reflective surfaces, partial occlusion, nonlinear changes in lighting, or uneven image formation. A library of image-processing and analysis tools aids in inspection, measurement, identification, and guidance tasks. Special software simplifies application development and network administration.
